One Whole Year of Sustainable Mole Valley
It’s hard to believe that an entire year has passed since we launched the Sustainable Mole Valley website. What began as a simple idea: ‘a shared space to celebrate local achievements and inspire sustainable living’ has grown into a vibrant, supportive, and ever‑expanding community. We couldn’t be prouder of what this first year represents.
From day one, our goal has been to shine a light on the incredible people, groups, and projects across Mole Valley who are making sustainability part of everyday life. Over the past twelve months, this platform has become a place where we can celebrate your successes, share practical tips, and offer incentives that help make sustainable choices easier and more rewarding. Most importantly, it has become a home for stories that remind us how powerful community action can be.
Looking Ahead to 2026
As we step into 2026, we’re excited to deepen our connections and meet even more of the fantastic individuals who make up our sustainability community. Collaboration will continue to be at the heart of what we do.
This year, we’ll be teaming up with the Parks team to bring you new ways to get involved with nature and biodiversity. Whether that’s through hands‑on activities, learning opportunities, or community‑led projects. We’ve already seen the impact of working together, including our recent collaboration with Environmental Health to raise awareness for Clean Air Night. These partnerships help us amplify important messages and create more opportunities for positive change.
A Space for Good News and Shared Joy
One of the things we’re most proud of is hosting a space where good news can thrive. Your stories big and small brighten our days and remind us that sustainable living isn’t just about reducing impact; it’s about enhancing lives, strengthening connections, and spreading joy. Every contribution shows that being part of a community truly does make a difference.
Celebrating the 2025 Sustainability Awards
A standout moment from the past year was undoubtedly the 2025 Sustainability Awards. It was a privilege to gather so many passionate, like‑minded people in one room, to hear about your projects, and to celebrate the hard work happening across Mole Valley. Meeting many of you in person was a highlight for our team, and we left feeling inspired by your dedication and creativity.
