Earth Day on 22 April is just around the corner, and at The Swan Centre in Leatherhead, we’re excited to mark the occasion with a series of activities that support and celebrate our local environment. Leatherhead is home to some beautiful green spaces, and this year we’re taking practical steps to help them thrive.

🌱 Wildlife‑Friendly Planting at the Centre

We’ll be refreshing the planting around the Swan Centre with pollinator‑friendly flowers and shrubs. These additions will help create a welcoming habitat for bees, butterflies and other vital wildlife right in the heart of town.

🗑️ Litter Picking Across Leatherhead

Our team and volunteers will be heading out across Leatherhead — including local parks and the nature reserve by the River Mole — to help keep these much‑loved spaces clean and enjoyable for everyone.

🐦 Bug Hotels & Bird Boxes

To encourage even more biodiversity, we’ll be installing bug hotels and bird boxes outside the car park. These small additions offer safe spaces for insects and birds, supporting the wider ecosystem around the centre.
