Did you know that playing the Mole Valley Community Lottery supports our climate change initiatives? For every £1 lottery ticket, 50p goes to a non-profit of your choice and 10p goes towards the Mole Valley’s Environment Fund.

Causes you can choose to support with your 50p include:

  • Mid Surrey Community Fridges collects and distributes surplus food to those who need it most.
  • The Wildlife Aid Foundation treats all wild animals and helps them back to their natural environments.
  • The Community Wardrobe is a place to donate and acquire clothes.
  • The Patchworking Garden Project offers gardening, crafting, and horticultural skills workshops.
  • Dorking Climate Emergency promotes and drives climate change by influencing people, businesses and councils to take action.
  • Dorking Allotment Holders supports allotment holders and gardeners through discounted products, horticultural talks, and fun events.
  • Surrey Bat Rescue is a network of BCT registered bat carers rescuing and rehabilitating bats around Surrey.
  • Ashtead Rye Meadows Wetlands is restoring Rye Brook to support it’s wildlife and reduce flooding of local houses.
  • Circular Dorking contributes to a range of sustainable areas such as the Eco Dorking Hub, Dorking Library of Things, home energy surveys, and sustainable curriculums for schools.
  • Goodwyns Community G arden maintains and improves green spaces on the estate.
  • Teazle Wood Trust ensures many engendered species have a healthy habitat by protecting the area and recently rebuilding ‘Wood Bridge’.

And lots more! If you are a club, group, voluntary organisation, community interest group or charity that provides community activities or services within Mole Valley, apply here to be one of the causes supported by the Community Lottery at no cost to you.

The draw takes place every Saturday night, so get your ticket to raise money and have a chance of winning the jackpot.

We are proud to award the Community Lottery with the Nature and Biodiversity Badge for supporting and signposting to a number of charities that focus on wildlife and green spaces. These organisations preserve natural habitats, rescue animals, and encourage gardening across Mole Valley.

We’d love to hear from you if you have a story you would like to share with us about how you are taking action to become more sustainable!
