đ Waste Reduction in Mole Valley this Festive Season
As we celebrate the holidays, letâs also think about how we can reduce waste and recycle responsibly. Mole Valley residents have several opportunities to make a difference this Christmas and New Year.
đ JWS Christmas Tree Recycling
Donât let your tree go to landfill! Between 1â17 January 2026, you can recycle your real Christmas tree at the following car parks:
- Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall
- Lower Road, Bookham
- Reigate Road, Dorking
- Ockley Village Hall
Disruptions in waste collection of the festive period will be published on the 10th December, we will provide a link to the changes here as soon as they are available.Â
â»ïž Greene Kingâs Tub2Pub Campaign
Weâre excited to share that Greene Kingâs âTub2Pubâ recycling campaign will be back in 2026! This initiative helps recycle plastics while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
- In 2025, Tub2Pub collected over 240,000 tubs, raising ÂŁ10,916 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
- With your help, we can beat that record in 2026!
â»ïž Bring Sites in Mole Valley
Mole Valleyâs bring sites make it easy to recycle items that donât go in your household bins. At these sites, you can recycle textiles and shoes, giving them a second life instead of sending them to landfill. You can also recycle cartons (including Tetra Paks) and paper containers with metal ends (without lids). By using bring sites for these materials, youâre helping reduce waste, conserve resources, and keep our community cleaner and greener.
